Prior to recording a CONNECTICUT Certificate Of Lien, Subcontractors on private Existing Residential projects must deliver to the Owner and General/Prime contractor a CONNECTICUT Notice Of Intent To File A Lien within ninety (90) days of last supppling equipment, labor, materials or services. Prior to recording a CONNECTICUT Certificate Of Lien, Subcontractors on private New Residential projects must deliver to the Owner and General/Prime contractor a CONNECTICUT Notice Of Intent To File A Lien within ninety (90) days of last supppling equipment, labor, materials or services.

Claimants must initiate a lawsuit to foreclose upon the liened property within one (1) year from the day the lien was recorded for the project.

 

 General/Prime contractors and Subcontractors on private Existing Residential projects can record with town clerk of the project town a notarized CONNECTICUT Certificate Of Lien up to ninety (90) days after the last day providing equipment, labor, materials or services for a project.
