| HAWAII Revised Statutes § 507-43(a) mandate that a company or individual claiming a lien needs to apply at the Circuit Court of the circuit where the improved property is located within forty-five (45) days of last providing equipment, labor, materials or services for a private Commercial project. There are several notices to be filed, beginning with a HAWAII Application For Mechanic’s And Materialman’s Lien.
The deadline for the lien claimant to initiate a lien forclosure action is ninety (90) days after the lien is filed with the Circuit Court.
